How Can NGOs influence government policy?

If an NGO’s report gets popular, the government can review the report and try to change their government policy.
What different types of organizations might be involved in influencing government policy?
A few organizations that might be involved in influencing government policy may include, Oxfam, GreenPeace, Amnesty International, and many more. GreenPeace is an organization that has their very own website in which they report any current reports about global issues. Oxfam is an organization that campaigned for food supplies to be sent through an allied naval blockade to starving women and children in enemy-occupied Greece during the Second World War.
What tactics do NGOs employ to have their voices heard?
NGOs can go onto popular social media sites (instagram, twitter, facebook, etc) so they can have their voices heard. If they post it on popular social media sites, people who have the application can easily spot a post an NGO made if it catches their eye, and if they want to, they can share it. Then when they share it, the post can get popular and will make it’s way to the government, or whoever the NGOs wanted the post to go to. If they do not have social media, they can post pictures around their neighborhood or around the city.
